Art Portfolio Two: Architecture board making process/Final boards

Today, I'm finishing my final boards. I did my Concept, Site plan(see Fig1), Cover and materials (see Fig2). However, I still need to finish the sustainability section, floor plan, elevation, and perspective drawings boards.

I started with a floor plan and decided to divide it into two boards. First, I opened a prepared black layout(see Fig3). Next, I deleted the background on the floor plan pictures and pasted them to the layout(see Fig4). Furthermore, by using a magic wand tool, I started to paint sections (see Fig5,6) in different colours and added numbers to create a table on the side with dimensions, because if I paste the numbers straight on the picture, the text would be unreadable.

Next, I decided to add something more because the page looked too empty. So, I did a printscreen of the Archicad demographic and deleted the background and pasted it to the layout(see Fig7).

And after I decided to change the background colour (see Fig8), because a dark layout does not connect with a light floor plan. This was the right decision, the board started looking more collected and organised.

Next, I started to do a text with the section names and dimensions. Because my building has a wavy form, I decided that it's better to leave just a square area(see Fig9).

After I copied the final result and mirror flipped it, I also changed the background, picture and text. This way I finished a second floor plan board(see Fig10).

In the same way, using the same layout, I finished other boards(see Fig. 11-19).

Furthermore, when I finished all boards, I placed them in my website portfolio(possible to see by following a link)

  1. Ronnie, you need more detail on your materials board - explanation of why you chose these materials, what you have found out about them, how you are going to apply them to your design. Also, you don't have a Demographics board (as far as I can see), make sure you include this.
