Materials research: Design materials

 Today, I did research for my design material. Before I had the idea to make a house with bronze panels, large windows and concrete. However, this information is not enough to make a good Elevation. So I started to learn this subject to choose materials with good quality and which will satisfy my idea.

Facade panels

At the start, I researched Facade panels because this will be a bigger part of my house design. Nowadays are hundreds of different panels but I stopped on Composite panels (aluminium with bronze coating). They last a long time in different weather conditions and also have a large palette of colours.

Decorative materials

For decorative material I chose wood, the choice was big but I chose the most available and cheapest in Ukraine it's pine.

Thermal glass

For windows, I choose thermal glass. However, I didn't expect such a large amount of their choice. My friend worked in a windows factory so he helped me a little bit with the choice and gave me a couple of options on which I did further research. I stopped on Tinted Double Glazing and Double Glazing and decided to alternate them. Tinted windows are expensive but for the Ukraine region with a large amount of sun and warm weather in summer is important. To make the price smaller we also will be using a normal one.
