Art Portfolio Two: New initial idea/prototype

Today, I'm creating a new sketch of Fashion Outlet. This time, I want to create something different. However, I still want to work with glass and light reflection. After I did a Toyo Ito research, I decided that I want to use nature in my design, and as I think of placing my building in London, where the rain is the best way to reflect the city's aura. So I started thinking about how to include the idea in life, and was thinking about a waterfall. I wanted water to fall down from the building walls, and as it will be made from glass, inside it will give a light pattern because of the water drops. I decided to create a cube-shaped building initially. But to create a connection between the water texture, I decided to add soft and curved walls. I did small sketches (which are possible to seen below) for an idea of what form would look better. Furthermore, I decided to do a 3-layer square tower.

Next, I started to create an initial sketch. I decided to do tubes, and the idea is that the roof will have a form that will collect water and direct it into glass tunnels in the walls, and water will flow inside. After that, the rainwater would go into the drain. Also, I decided to connect the 1st and 2nd floors, so the ground and third floor will have a similar construction, and the middle will be smaller. The sketch of my design is included below.

After that, I started to do a prototype of my design. I made a decision to do 2 versions, one made from transparent plastic to see how it would work with light, and another made from a greyboard to see the construction aspects.
First, I made a cube from plastic as a base and layered a curved plane on it and stuck a tunnel for water using super glue. Doing it this way wasn't a good idea because the glue marks create a filthy look on transparent construction. This way, I did all three floors, and the photos of the outcome are visible below.

Next, I did a greyboard prototype. This was my first experience doing construction using this material. This time, I did a curved base and glued the walls on top of it. This method works better and creates a better visual picture. On the side, I stuck tubes for water and repeated this process twice.
Furthermore, I glued all the floors together and added curves to the corners. The photos of the outcome are attached below.
