Sequential Images research

Sequential Images research

After we made group sequential images, I was given the task of creating my own photos. I thought about the idea for a long time, and since my previous photos were focused on emotions, namely surprise, this time I decided to interpret the emotion of feminine disappointment.

The photo magazine KIM HARLOW, RÉCITS became the muse for this idea, where different women were depicted with various types of emotions, but in a feminine style. As a reference, I took the cover of the magazine and the photo from the spread “Bettina Rheims, Kim dans le miroir de la salle de bains VII, janvier 1991, Paris.”

To make my photos more structured, I created a collage with the poses and movements I plan to use.

This photo shootі will represent "Stages of experiencing frustration:
The first stage: shock and denial
The second stage: pain and guilt
The third stage: anger, disappointment and bitterness
The fourth stage: acceptance of the situation"

The photos will be in portrait format, and I plan to shoot them with dark filters, possibly even using a black-and-white filter or a flash, to ensure the atmosphere is more focused on the portrait aspect.

Tim Tadder - Water Wigs August 21, 2012

Tim Tadder and his photo shoots "Water Wigs" and the emotions, we can see in these photos made me understand what I was missing in idea of my work. These photos give live emotions, energy and expression and this is exactly what I need because I also work with them. Looking at these photos for a long time, I remembered one phrase that my father often told me
As soon as this phrase came to my mind, I realised that I not only needed to reproduce an emotion. I must also add fear to these photos because disappointment can't be possible without a sense of loss. This feeling can't exist without the fear of letting something go, because we humans are afraid to leave the comfort zone, and the disappointment of this is the fear that you lose something important in life and the walls of the comfort zone crumble to pieces. And precisely Tim Tadder's photos have fear in the eyes of the models.
