Art Portfolio Two: 3D outcome

Today, I finished my 3D model. My construction was made from transparent acrylic plastic, 1,5-2mm. I chose this material because, as my design has a wavy shape, I bent it using a hot air gun(see Fig1), and this material has a low melting point.

I started by cutting a plastic sheet into rectangles(see Fig 2) and after that by using a hot air gun I shaped the plastic into the form that I needed(see Fig3). This will be a part of an inside layer that looks like a wavy-shaped square, and in future, I added one more layer to create a waterfall wall and this way I will create a space between the main wall and the wall that controls the water.

Next, I created 3 more walls and used a chemical liquid for bonding the plastic walls together using a brush(see Fig4). Next, I cut floors for pieces and started to glue them to the walls(see Fig5-8).

Next, I started to glue a roof. After that, I started to do a second layer of walls and a water tank on the top, and I filled it with resin to emit water. Also, I split some resins on the roof to imitate rain. (see Fig)

After I finished building, I started to build a base. For this, I used an 18mm wood and cut it in a circular form. Next, using sandpaper, I made the edges smooth(see Fig9)

Furthermore, I ordered small lamps on Amazon (possible to see by following the link). So, I decided to cut holes in the base to place a light there(see Fig10). After I taped the sandpaper to a pencil to make holes smooth inside and used spray paint, I dyed the base white.

After that, I took photos of my 3D model (all photos are possible to see in the album). Photos end up very atmospheric and aesthetic.
