Major project: Initial ideas
As I said in my "Welcome post". I love to steal people's lives and represent them from the art side" For this project I also will be a robber. I was thinking about grabbing an idea from one of the books which I love. I thought about a terrace which Mikhail Bulgakov described in his book "The Master and Margarita" when at the start meet us with Pontius Pilate. But once I tried to do it, it finished badly. I was crying on the floor because this is a mad book about the eternal struggle between good and evil and if you want to make something equal and show the power, and genius of this work you also need to be mad. As said by John Dryden "There is a pleasure in being mad which none but madmen know.". Unfortunately, I am not destined to know this pleasure now.
Even though I said before I wanted my project to be based on a book I changed my decision. After hours of thinking about a building, I remembered my favourite movie from childhood. This movie is old but represents how people used to see the future and other planets. And now I want to design a house with the atmosphere of this cartoon.
It will be a house made from glass, minimalistic, comfortable and highly technological. Also, I'm thinking of adding metal that looks like bronze I like the combination of glass with such colors and materials.
The only problem with a cartoon is that I don't want to have any actual visual references. And if the reference is a movie, whether you want it or not, you will partially copy one of the buildings
My last idea was to combine the first two. That is how I found in my brain a book which I was ready a million times. I'm still confused as to why I didn't remember it before. The concept and idea of the house will be based on the book "We" by Yevgeny Zamyatin. It represents how the writer used to see the future and I'm more passionate about the style of the city which is made author. Also, this book is about a totalitarian regime where a person's individuality is almost completely erased, everything is as practical as possible and without excess. In this way, I add another point to the design of the house as a practical minimalism, without anything superfluous. But I don't want the house to just look like a box with a table, a chair, a bed and a toilet.
