Project Sign Off: Our House
I have finally felt confident in my idea for my architecture project, so I have signed off on it. Below you can see a collage I made in Pixlr E. This building is the Van Gogh Museum in Amsterdam, which was designed by Rietveld (1973) and Kurokawa (1999). I was inspired by the transparent building and to be more precise, I liked how the atmosphere of the museum changes during the day and at night thanks to the glass. Also, transparency gives more space inside the building and makes contact with the outside actually it's been an actual idea - to give more space inside"Improved access, better logistics and more space will allow us to give our visitors a much warmer welcome than before.". I think this free space has been created since the building has a natural shape and no sharp corners. I want to use this trick in my house because it will be designed for one person and buildings simply do not need to be very large but I want to give it a feeling of space inside as much as possible.
