Art Portfolio: Scetch Improving

Today, I want to create a couple new ideas for my bridge design because after I looked at my previous sketches I started to understand that I am absolutely not happy with the result that I have, the pier looks poor. So I started to think about what exactly I do not like.

First, I do not like the size and the parallel balance of the bridge and this creates a messy look. The design has straight, curved and smooth lines some of them are thin, thick and rounded because of the concentration of different things in one space it does look not attractive.

The location of my project is not a deep river because of this the pier won't be so long and the design will look flattened. This is possible to see in the image below.

The other problem is that my pier does not create enough support for full construction and the bridge will fall down. So I need to add more support and it will create an even more flattened effect. I marked the weakest part red on the image.

Also, the upper part of the pier will be connected to glass and there is a large chance that glass construction will be broken. On the image, I marked the territory where this will happen in red.

Furthermore, the middle of the construction does not have any support, the bridge will be bigger than 200 meters and the pressure that will be created in the middle is abnormal. In the sketch, it's possible to see this point because it is marked red.

With all these nuances I started to think about new design I decided to add more piers and I decided to return an arch as a glass ball support. Furthermore, if I created a V-shaped pier now I want to do it differently. Also, I will add more support on the sides, somehow.

I can't say that I like this design it looks too mature and masculine. I would like to add more elegance to it. Even before I said that my sketch looked too crowded now it looks too tasteless and boring.
