Art Portfolio: Skills week
Today, started a skills week. I'm studying Art & Design however my progression road is Architecture. This week will introduce for as skills that we will use next year in DMU. At this moment we learned how to do an architecture concept drawing of buildings using pencils, rulers and Ink pens. Also, the teacher more specifically explained how 1-point, two-point and 3 point perspective works.
However today, for the concept sketch we will use just 2 point perspective. The example is possible to see below.

For us we were given 2 house designs that we copied first with a pencil under a teacher's instruction and clear steps. I have done architecture line drawing before however it was interesting to do it with the teacher's comments because he gave some advice that he learned with experience and through studying impossible to know. Also, the sequence of drawings that I did before and which we did in class was different. I usually first redraw and do it as a dirty sketch after lining everything with Ink liner and after with rubber cleaned the work. However, in class we cleaned our and rubber everything sequence on work with every step and after we had a nice clean pencil work that is possible to see in the image below.
After that, we started to use Ink liner and add details. That was an interesting experience for minimalistic design houses it's a very suitable process of drawing because then everything is clear and easier to do a lining. But I think for more complicated and detailed work my way is more comfortable for me. In the image below possible to see the second drawing that I redraw with Ink pen. In the end, I want to say that this lesson was very useful I learned new information about architecture drawing and the 2-point perspective.
